When we started talking about a new schedule for the New Year it seemed like it would be “forever” until we started. Well, “forever” is over and it is HERE! Tomorrow morning we start our NEW Sunday Schedule. We are moving to the YOUTH ZONE. This was the Worship Center for Washington Avenue before the larger building was contructed. WE need to thank our awesome Youth for sharing their room with us. (Of course no one asked them; we just knew they would be elated to help us). Our service times will be 9:00 and 10:30AM. I can’t wait!!

In last Sunday’s message I made a statement that we need to continually remember for this and future changes that will be necessary: “Our ever-changing world needs to hear the never-changing message of the HOPE found in Jesus Christ!” Sharing the never-changing message with an ever-changing world requires us to be more creative than ever before in HOW we share the message!

We also need to remember that Jesus called His Disciples to be “fishers of men.” You only go fishing because you want to catch some fish. The methods, equipment, bait, etc. will change continually but the objective is the same — catch fish! In the same way, we are called to “catch fish” (i.e. people) for Jesus. We are not told to merely take care of the “fish” (again, that’s people) who are already in the aquarium (i.e. the church). If we could just keep this one point clear, we would all celebrate any changes made that help us “catch more fish” ( I mean people — you know what I mean!)

Everything is prepared and we are ready to go. Now it is time to go out and invite people to come and experience what God is doing! Tomorrow we begin a new series called “TRANSFORMERS.” Come and be Transformed so that you can GO and be a TRANSFORMER!
