“One-Another” LOVING
When God spoke to my heart about communicating from His Word on the whole “LOVE” topic, I did not imagine how He would use this final message in the series. Today we shared the simplicity of Jesus’ COMMAND to ‘Love one another’ and how this genuine, sincere love would show the world who Jesus’ disciples really are. In both worship services today God did some amazing things in people’s lives. A 12 year old girl gave her heart to the Lord at the 9:00AM service! Two others came forward in the early hour to publicly renew their commitment to Christ. Some just came to pray. God was still working in people’s hearts when it was time for the second service crowd to come in. A few came in to realize that we were still in the first service. That was great! I love it when God supercedes our schedules.
In the second service we once again witnessed God’s power working in people’s hearts and lives. During the invitation time some went to other people in the worship center and did some reconciling. Another shared how years of bitterness towards a family member had caused much grief and pain; this person was ready to lay this burden aside, forgive and move towards reconciliation. WOW! That’s a God thing!
There is no doubt that the power of the Gospel to change people’s lives begins in the relationships we have with other Believers! When we Love “One Another” sincerely, sacrificially, and get personally involved in each other’s lives, the world gets to SEE what it means to belong to God’s family. When we fuss and fight, people have a good reason not to bother with the church. But, when our LOVE for each other is strong and real, people will do whatever they can to get in the doors to experience it.
Next week we begin a new series that will take us into our Easter celebration on March 23. It is fitting that we will kick off this series by once again talking about LOVE — the kind of Love that led Jesus to come here and give His life for us. We are asking all of our people do start now inviting others to come all through the month of March and we want to have our first High Attendance Day on Easter Sunday. I believe we can get at least 400 people on our campus for this great day of celebration. I believe if we can get people to come, God is going to speak to their hearts and lives are going to be TRANSFORMED! We need to be reminded to continually go out and be TRANSFORMERS!
God is ready to take this ministry to a new level of growth (numerically, spiritually, generosity, etc.) so don’t miss out! Find your place in this exciting opportunity to experience God’s power as He is changing people’s lives.
