Give Up Some Praise!
Yesterday was officially our most productive day as far as the number of contacts we made. We passed out 1,000 flyers around the beach and park area advertising the volleyball tournament yesterday and the block party on Thursday. We had so many people to come and play in the tournament that it was amazing! The Elevate team seemed to very pleased with the turnout.
I had the opportunity to talk with a young man (about 16) who lives in Israel. He was so cool and very respectful. I was working my way into talking with him about his faith and his team was called to play volleyball. I did get the chance to speak with him again before he left and learned that there was a large group of Jewish people in San Diego. I’m not sure what they were doing but they were very nice. (one of our group offered them hot dogs and they asked if they were kosher. our rep just smiled and they took the hot dogs and said “don’t tell the Rabbi.”) That was funny. One group who came to play in the tournament had a young man who just moved here to take over the pastorate of a new church. He prayed with Kevin, asking God to bless Elevate Church. I’m telling you, I really believe God is going to bless this church in amazing ways. I really don’t believe it will take long before this group will be looking for bigger places to meet.
Today is our free, day. Most of our group is going to Sea World and checking out some other local sights. You really need about a week just to go around and take in the amazing sights. Pray for us to have some “Divine” appointments today while we are enjoying the sights. We are praying for everyone back home and can tell you for sure that we feel the prayers you are offering up for us.

Hey Chuck and everyone,
Just reading your blog and praying that God will continue to bless each one of you and all the efforts of everyone. It sounds like such a beautiful place and certainly knowing the Creator in such an intimate way really gives you such an awesome peace. May you and your family and everyone have a great free time today as you experience His grace this day! Tell everyone hello and I can’t wait to hear what God does through each one of you!
Everyone and everything is great here and God is good all the time!
Love you all,
Arlene
