God has really been showing up and speaking life-changing words to people each time we gather in His name. Our worship gatherings were incredible yesterday. My boy Ricky Motes was in God’s anointing as he proclaimed the Word. And, I have to say, Chris and our Worship specialists were also serving within God’s anointing power. The power of the Holy Spirit was so thick you couldn’t miss it!

Equally powerful and inspirational for me was our “Connecting Point.” I have the privilege of meeting with some fantastic young people. We are experiencing genuine Christian community in our group. I have heard similar reports from others in our various groups. Right now we have 13 groups meeting in homes and 4 groups that meet on campus each Sunday. We know that the secret of spiritual growth lies in connecting with other believers in small groups. I can’t stress enough how important it is for everyone to get involved in a Connecting Point group!

I am not being cheap when I say how blessed I have been these past few weeks. God has cleared away some things that were clouding my perspective on His ministries. With this renewed clarity my spirit has been lifted way beyond this world into the heavenlies. I am thankful for the opportunities God has given me to serve Him by ministering to others. I was reading a devotion this morning by a fellow Pastor who simply said his ambition was to love people and meet needs. This is simple but profound. It basically defines ministry for all of us. As Paul stated in Romans 12:9: “Love must be SINCERE.” Our sincere love for each other and our compassion to help hurting people will bring the power of God into our lives like we never imagined.
