Head for the Hills
We had a refreshing trip to the Mountains of Western N.C. this weekend. A dear friend offered the use of a house that sits on the side of a hill in Tuxedo, N.C. so I accepted. I had a couple of days to meditate, get quiet before the Lord and listen to His voice. This was more needed than I realized. God really spoke freshly to my heart (after disciplining me for neglecting these quiet times away). Then, on Sunday my family came up and we spent a wonderful day together. Walking around Chimney Rock and eating lunch on a deck overlooking the river was fantastic. We ate, walked, ate, ate, and did I mention that we ate?
I just want to publicly thank Chris Lewis for stepping up in the nick of time to lead Washington Avenue on Sunday. Ricky and his family have been terribly sick so D-Now had to be postponed and he was unable to speak on Sunday. Please pray for this family as they heal and get back to normal lifestyles. Also, be in prayer for the Disciple Now weekend this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Pray that God will anoint the leaders and students as they carve out some time to listen to His voice.
I would also recommend that you take some time in these next two weeks to take the short drive from Greenville to Hendersonville and enjoy the sights, atmosphere and good food. The apples are wonderful. And, they said it was peak this past weekend but up around Chimney Rock a lot of the leaves haven’t begun changing yet. This coming weekend should be awesome.
Have a great week!
