Can I just tell you how special Sundays are when God takes over? At WAC God blessed in His own special way today! We have been talking this year about how badly we need a “DOWNPOUR” from God. It seems (to me at least) that each week there is a growing awareness of God’s presence and what we need to do to put ourselves in the way of His blessings. So many people bowed at the altar to talk with God and we had the opportunity to see a ten year old boy give his heart to Jesus. (That never gets old!)

I wonder how God will continue to show His presence in our meetings? in our homes? on our jobs? at school? or wherever else we go? Experiencing God in the uniqueness of His design is something you can never get tired of. Even though you experience Him in many different ways through the years, He still reveals Himself with a freshness that almost makes Him seem like a brand new presence in our lives. Whoever coined the phrase “the best is yet to come” must have been a follower of Jesus Christ. I look forward to a lifetime of “NEW” experiences with our God — then at the end of this exciting journey we get to SEE Him!

I want to encourage everyone who worships at Washington Avenue Church to do everything you can to get friends, family members, work associates, etc. to come share in the newness of God’s presence. The DOWNPOUR is ON!!
