Yesterday was another incredible experience with the Lord. The DOWNPOUR of His Grace and Mercy was protrayed so vividly through the “Cardboard Testimonies.” Man was that powerful or what?! Many thanks go to Lisa Freeman for having the vision to put this together; getting the participants together; and then directing everyone. Our church is blessed to have Lisa!!

The Word of God we focused on yesterday flowed so beautifully following these powerful testimonies. While it is great to celebrate these powerful expressions of GRACE, we also need to remember that the only way to continue living within the blessings of God is to “WALK by FAITH IN GRACE!” We have been separated by God because of our SIN. Because of GRACE, we have the opportunity to be Reunited with our Creator and to LIVE in continual DOWNPOUR!

We praise God for the souls that have been saved this past month. God has truly been moving in our Gathering times and He is showing on the job, in people’s homes, schools, etc. God is proving our thesis that He is waiting on His People to get right with Him so He can show-up and show-off what only He can do!!!

God was very good to our church in February. Our attendance and financial receipts were up. New people have been coming each week. I continue to hear great reports from our “Connecting Points” (small group Bible studies that meet in people’s homes). Our local Mission Projects continue to bring great blessings to those we are serving and to those of us who get to serve. Our Romania Mission Team is actively raising money for the trip (please pray for the plane tickets to come down before we book our flights in March!).

In addition to all these wonderful things that God is doing in our midst right now, I want to share a couple of other things with you to be praying about.

1. Together We Can! Last year we presented some computer generated pictures of some plans to renovate our existing facilities to make them more conducive to our ministry format, style, etc. Everyone who saw them were very excited about what could be done to our  campus. I know it has been a long time since anything was said but I want you to know that God has given me an urgency to move forward with this project. There are some foundational things being done right now to get our church family ready to experience something together that only God can do! Stay tuned.

2. Since I have been the Pastor of Washington Avenue Church God has made it clear that we are in an ideal location for an “After-School” program. The need is great and we have the facilities to do a top-notch program that would be affordable for those who need it the most for their children. I have been talking with an organization that has a great program format and the willingness to help us get this ministry started. Join me in praying for God’s guidance as we pursue this opportunity. It may also lead into a Summer Day Camp that would give us the opportunity to influence young people for Christ on a daily basis.
