Super Sundays
Just wanted to give a quick “Shout Out” to everyone who led us in worshipping our Lord Jesus at Washington Avenue today. The early service started out with a power that can only be attributable to God’s Presence. I mean people were shouting and the energy was powerful as we sang “How Marvelous, How Wonderful, and my song shall ever be; How Marvelous, How Wonderful is my Savior’s love for me!”
Chris and the Band were incredible today!!! Zach and Noelle hit a grand slam!!! Our technical staff added the support to make our time together something very, very special!! I have not experienced God like that in some time. He has been amazing in our gatherings lately and it just keeps getting better. I want to encourage everyone who worships at Washington Avenue to invite everyone you can to our “MAIN EVENTS” each week, praying and expecting God to change people’s lives!
Next week we start a New Series called “Whatever It Takes.” This is the most important part of our Vision Statement that drives our strategy. I will be reinforcing the Vision God has given us here at Washington Avenue to “DO Whatever It Takes to Reach Whoever we can with the HOPE found in Jesus Christ!” This series will take us into our Easter Celebration that only exists because our God was (and is) willing to DO WHATEVER IT TAKES to redeem us!
God has taken some RADICAL routes to make a way for our SALVATION. I think we owe it to Him to be creative and do some RADICAL stuff to get as many people as we can into the Kingdom. If we can identify some of the “Walls” that keep people from coming to church to hear about God’s love maybe we can be diligent about removing them. Be praying for God’s anointing power on these messages and our awesome worship services. But for now, let’s give God praise and glory for what He did in His house today!!!
