人才培养:

 

(1)教师是履行教育教学职责的专业人员,承担着培养社会主义事业建设者的接班人的光荣使命。外语教研室教师应认真遵守《教师职业道德规范》,热爱教学工作,教书育人,为人师表。

(2)外语教研室的教师,应当热爱澳门金莎娱乐网站-手机版官网app网址,愿意从事大学英语基础教学工作,具有较强的工作责任心和敬业精神。勤勤恳恳,任劳任怨,关心集体,维护大局,服从领导,自觉为大英部的发展献策献计,添砖加瓦。

(3)积极鼓励年轻教师参加各种形式的在职进修学习,可以通过与其他高校合作举办在职人员研究生课程班的形式,尽快使年轻教师取得硕士学位。

(4)新上岗青年教师要实行导师培训制度,在具有副高以上职称教师的指导下,进行备课和课堂教学,指导教师认为暂不具备上课基本要求的,一律不准上讲台。

(5)要加大工作力度,积极引进高层次人才。

(6)坚持不懈地抓好师资队伍建设。要从源头上把握好进人关,逐步做到一般不再接收普通高校的本科毕业生,对缺编名额采取单位聘用的办法解决。重点高校的毕业生,也要优中选优,注意来源分布和性别比例。要采取较为优惠的政策,吸引高学历人员。继续鼓励教师积极参加各种形式的培训和学习,力争在三到五年的时间内,使年轻教师硕士化,具有硕士学历的教师达到二分之一以上。要继续鼓励教师积极争取各种形式的出国学习培训。

Foreign Language Department – Professional Development

(1)Teachers are duty bound to equip students with capacities and qualities that live up to the challenges in future. All the teachers of the department should earnestly adhere to the Codes of Ethics for Teachers and should have great enthusiasm and commitment.

(2)Teachers of the department should be dedicated to STMC, willing to conduct teaching on regular basis, with great sense of responsibility and professional ethics. They should work hard uncomplainingly and make contribution to the development of English teaching and research of STMC.

(3)The department encourages young teachers to take part in various types of on-job training programs such as those co-held by STMC and other universities so that they will obtain master degrees as soon as possible.

(4)Newly employed young teacher should be guided in lesson preparation and classroom teaching by a teacher with senior professional title under the tutorial system, according to which the former are not allowed come up to the podium until the latter deem him or her appropriate.

(5)The department will strengthen efforts to import high-level talents.

(6)The department will make unremitting efforts to build up a qualified teaching team. We will set higher standard for the recruitment and will not consider graduates with bachelor degree as candidates anymore. Those who are not included in the staff quota will be employed on fixed-term contracts. With regard to graduates from key universities, selection should also be based on qualifications. Meanwhile, the candidates’ place of origin and the ratio of gender should be taken into account. Besides, preferential policy needs to be taken to attract personnel with high academic degrees. We will continue to encourage teachers to take part in all sorts of training and further study, so that more than half of our team members will have become master degree holders in 3 to 5 years. In addition, we will keep encouraging teachers to pursue further study overseas.
